Team Preferences apply to the entire team and override individual project defaults for the settings listed here. Only Team Admins can change Team Preferences.
To open Team Preferences, go to Team Settings → Preferences.

Download Proxy
When on, all team and project members can download proxy versions of assets from this team's projects.
When off, proxy downloads are disabled for everyone.
A proxy is a compressed, lower-resolution version of the original asset used for fast review and playback.

Public Sharing
When on, assets shared from this team's projects can be accessed by anyone with the link — no Postudio sign-up or sign-in required.
When off, public share links are disabled; all shared assets require the viewer to be signed in to Postudio.

Groups for Sharing
When on, all team and project members can share assets with groups within this team's projects. Project Admins always have sharing access by default regardless of this setting.

Do Team Preferences override individual settings?
Yes — these toggles apply team-wide. If Download Original is off at the team level, no one can download originals from this team's projects, regardless of their project role.

What happens to existing public share links if I turn off Public Sharing?
Disabling Public Sharing will prevent new public links from being created and will deactivate existing ones. Viewers with those links will no longer be able to access the assets.
