Postudio lets you upload individual files or entire folder structures straight from your local system into a project workspace. Everything you upload joins the project's shared space and becomes available to members with the right permissions.

Method 1: The Global "+ New" Button

The + New button in the top-right of the project page opens the full set of creation actions, including uploads.
  1. Open the relevant project.
  2. Click + New in the top-right corner.
  3. Under New Actions, select Upload Files (individual files) or Upload Folder (a full folder structure).
  4. Choose the files or folders from your computer.
  5. Click Upload.
The assets upload into the current project or the selected folder.

Method 2: The "+ New Assets" Button on the Assets Tab

When you're already on the Assets tab, the + New Assets button (near the filters) is scoped to asset uploads and drops files wherever you are.
  1. Open the relevant project.
  2. Go to the Assets tab.
  3. (Optional) Open the target folder.
  4. Click + New Assets.
  5. Select Upload Files or Upload Folder.
  6. Choose the files or folders and click Upload.
Assets upload to the currently open folder location.

Method 3: The Empty-State Buttons
When a project or folder has no assets yet, the Assets area shows a drop zone reading "Drag & drop files/folders to upload — or use the buttons below to upload," with quick-action buttons:
  • Upload Files — upload individual files.
  • Upload Folder — upload a full folder structure.
  • Create Folder — create an empty folder to organize into first.
Click the button you need and choose your files or folders — a convenient shortcut before any assets exist. You can also drag and drop straight onto this empty-state drop zone.

Method 4: Drag and Drop

For the fastest workflow:
  1. Open the project (and folder, if applicable).
  2. Drag files or folders from your computer.
  3. Drop them onto the project workspace — the upload starts automatically.
Tip: For large batches or unreliable connections, use the Postudio Uploader App, which retries failed files and runs uninterrupted. See Upload Assets — Uploader App.
