Overview
We’re excited to introduce PDFs as a first-class asset type, expanding the review experience beyond media files. Teams can now upload, manage, and review PDF documents with the same streamlined workflow used for other assets—making feedback, collaboration, and approvals faster and more efficient.
The Share Asset modal for PDFs now supports Review, Approval, and Download — the same sharing modes you already know from other asset types, now fully available for your PDF documents.
Status Changes & Copy Link
PDF assets now support status changes and copy link — behaving exactly the same as video, audio, and image assets. Update a PDF's status to reflect where it sits in your review pipeline, or grab a direct link to share it instantly, all without leaving the player.
Dashboard
Dedicated PDF Filter
PDFs now have their own entry in the Type filter on the Asset Dashboard — no longer bundled under "Document" or "Others." Finding every PDF in your library is now a single click.
Review Player
Native PDF Viewer
Clicking a PDF asset now opens a document-optimized viewer on the V3 Player. It handles both landscape and portrait documents, and comes with page navigation showing a clear "1 / 2" indicator alongside Previous and Next controls, Zoom In/Out with a Fit-to-Screen option, and a toggleable left-side thumbnail strip for quick page jumping.
Page-level Commenting
Every comment is anchored to the page it was left on, keeping feedback precise and in context. The comment sidebar organises threads by page number and filters comments by page number. Clicking a comment jumps the viewer straight to that page — no hunting required.
Keyboard Shortcuts
The PDF viewer is fully keyboard-friendly. Check the Shortcuts tab in the player to explore everything at your fingertips — a great way to speed up navigation and get the most out of your review sessions.
Group Access for Project Members
Team Admins can now control whether Project Members are permitted to share assets with groups within the team directly from the Team Settings > Preferences page.
By default, Project Admins retain group sharing access, ensuring designated leads can continue managing asset distribution and team collaboration without interruption.
