How to Upload Assets on Postudio using the Uploader App

For faster, reliable, and uninterrupted bulk uploads, we recommend using the Postudio Uploader App.
Step 1: Download the Uploader App
Open your project on Postudio
Click the More Actions (...) in the top-right corner, next to the + New button
Go to Download Uploader App from the dropdown
Based on your operating system, choose the type of App to download - Window, macOS Silicon, macOS Intel
Wait for the download to complete
Once downloaded, you can install the app and begin uploading large batches of assets directly to your project space.
Step 2: Install the Uploader App
For Windows:
Click the downloaded .exe file
Select Run Anyway if prompted
Choose Only for me when asked
Uncheck Run pre-uploader before finishing installation
Click Finish to complete the setup
For macOS:
Click the downloaded .dmg file
Drag and drop the ps-uploader app into your Applications folder
Follow any additional steps shown in the support video
If you see an “uploader app launch error” on Apple Silicon devices, refer to the troubleshooting guide provided
Step 3: Upload Assets Using the Uploader App
Return to your Project on Postudio
Click the More Actions (...) in the top-right corner, next to the + New button
Select Launch Uploader App
Click open the Chrome pop-up that asks for permission to open the Uploader App
In the app window, drag and drop files or folders
Use the upload icon at the top to track upload progress
Uploader App Features:
Retry uploading individual or all failed assets
Cancel individual or all ongoing uploads
FAQs
1. How can I check an asset's upload status?
Click the cloud upload icon at the top right while uploading. From there, you can monitor the status and also cancel any ongoing uploads.
2. How do I update the Uploader App?
If there's a new version available, you'll see a "new version available for download" message in red at the top of the app. Click the prompt to download and install the latest version.3. How do I check the upload status in the Uploader App?
During upload, the Uploader App displays real-time progress
After the upload is complete, all project admins and Project members will receive an email summary showing:
Number of completed uploads
Number of failed uploads
The email will also include a CSV attachment listing the failed assets along with their local file paths. You can use this list to retry uploading the failed files.
